A generated page that states a number absent from its own data row is not a traffic problem — it is a page that misinforms a reader who came looking for exactly that number. This is the check the rest of the package exists to support, and the reason indexgap never writes page text itself.
The finding reads:
critical unsupported-number the text contains numbers that are not in your data:
Find this number in the dataset row. If it is not there, drop the claim entirely or replace it with something the data does contain. Do not pick a similar-looking number: a visa page with an invented processing time harms the reader, it is not merely lost traffic.
Reported per page even when it is common. Appearing on many pages is the nature of this finding rather than evidence of one template defect, so collapsing it would hide real work.
pipx install indexgap
cd your-project
indexgap init
indexgap check
Then indexgap brief turns
every finding on this page into a work order in indexgap-briefs/,
with the thresholds the result has to satisfy and the command to check it.
