The H1 states what the page is about in the page's own words. Without it the engine falls back to guessing from structure that may not exist.
The finding reads:
warning no-h1 no H1 — the engine has nothing to tell what the page is about
Add an H1 — it is what tells a search engine the page's topic.
Collapsed when it fires template-wide. If it appears on 90% or more of the pages — or of one language version — of a site with at least 20 pages, it is a property of the template and is reported once, with the count, instead of once per page.
Suppressed on JavaScript shells. A page with no text in its source HTML would trip this check for a reason that is already reported as js-shell, and repeating it four times is not four times as informative.
